I was absolutely horrified to hear of the murder of your comrade and mine, Hadi Saleh and would like to add my condolences to Hadi's family and friends.
I was very privileged to have met Hadi. Despite the language barriers, his decency and bravery shone through to me and, I am sure, all the other MPs and others who he met when he was last in London.
Words are never enough in such terrible circumstances. I know that is always said on these sad occasions but the old labour movement saying - don't mourn, organise - is still the most appropriate.
Nothing can ever bring Hadi back but his murder makes me all the more determined to give my support to the IFTU and Grassroots Iraq.
With best wishes
