ICFTU condemns terrorist attacks in Jordan 14/11/2005
Brussels, 14 November 2005 (ICFTU OnLine): Following the appalling terrorist attacks in the Jordanian capital, ICFTU General Secretary Guy Ryder sent a message of condolence and solidarity to the President of the Jordanian trade union centre affiliated to the ICFTU, the GFJTU.
Strongly condemning these atrocities that threaten to further aggravate the tensions in the region, Guy Ryder conveyed his condolences to the members of the GFJTU and their families who have been tragically affected by these attacks, which killed over 50 people and injured hundreds of others.

Terror Attacks in Jordan
We are shocked and saddened by the bomb attacks in Jordan yesterday which have caused the deaths of more than 50 people and injury to hundreds of others.
The International Confederation of Free Trade Unions, representing 145 million members in 154 countries across the world condemns these terrorist activities which further aggravates the situation in the region.
Please extend our condolences to the members of the GFJTU and their families who may have been affected by the bomb blasts.
We extend our solidarity to the workers and their families and wish them strength to overcome the effects of this outrageous and criminal acts.
